Furnace Maintenance
We strongly recommend scheduling an annual service-up and cleaning for your furnace. The best time to conduct this maintenance is in the fall, prior to using your furnace for the colder months. This tune-up ensures your operates at peak efficiency all season, providing you with reliable heat when you need it. Our skilled technician will inspect and clean all vital components, including connections, controls, sensors, drains, motors, ducts, valves, blowers, ignition, thermostat(s), and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. After the service, the technician will provide guidance on maintenance tasks you can handle between visits, such as replacing your furnace filter every three months or as needed. This simple step can significantly extend the life of your furnace while minimizing repairs and enhancing your indoor air quality.
Air Conditioner Maintenance
For air conditioners, it is advisable to schedule an annual service tune-up and cleaning, in the spring. Our skilled technician will inspect and clean the connections, coils, blower components, lines, refrigerant, drain, fuses, and thermostat(s), and lubricate all moving parts. In between service visits, you can help maintain your unit by clearing any yard debris or vegetation from the top and sides of your outdoor air conditioner and covering it with a tarp or air conditioner cover during the winter.
Heat Pump Maintenance
It's advisable to schedule an annual service tune-up and cleaning for heat pumps, typically in the fall, just like with furnaces and boilers. Our experienced technician will inspect and clean the ducts, filters, blower, indoor coil, refrigerant, electric terminals, connections, motors, and belts, while also lubricating all moving parts. Remember to replace or clean the filter every three months or as necessary. Additionally, you should clean the outdoor coils whenever they appear dirty and ensure that yard debris and vegetation are kept clear from the unit.
Water Heater Maintenance
For water heaters, it's advisable to schedule an annual inspection and service, typically included in your yearly plumbing check-up (any necessary service will be charged separately). You can either let one of our skilled plumbers handle the maintenance, especially if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, or you can take on the task. To ensure your water heater operates efficiently, remember to check the pressure valve, inspect the anode rod, flush the tank to remove sediment buildup, adjust the temperature as needed, and insulate the pipes and tank if necessary. Once again, our professional plumbers are available to perform this service, helping to extend the lifespan of your water heater.
